Smart MES Applications / SMA – Smart Factory Glossary
Smart MES Applications (SMA) are apps that contain functions provided by data acquisition terminals as well as MES applications used for production planning and data evaluation, or functions that supply information. Users access the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) HYDRA 8 by MPDV with SMA. The Smart MES Applications are intuitive to use. They are available as mobile apps for smartphones or tablets, or as browser-based web applications.
Users can combine and use the apps as needed. As a result, the user has exactly the functions and information they require for their work. The latest MES version HYDRA X based on the Manufacturing Integration Platform (MIP) does not offer Smart MES Applications as HYDRA X is entirely web-based.
