The Vipra® System is an assistance system specifically for the plastics processing industry. The system is used in extrusion processes (pipe, sheet, solid and hollow bar, profile or film) and all types of injection molding processes.
Vipra is a modular system with an exclusive focus on the plastics processing industry, primarily the injection molding and extrusion processes. The system combines various functions that help the machine operator to increase process and product quality. Almost any functionality can be realized by combining different optional modules. Starting with modules that record and visualize live process parameters of the system and help with the evaluation, all the way to modules that help the machine operator to avoid process errors or find perfect machine parameters.
With the help of three different embedded computer simulation systems, the processes in the extruder, the plasticizing unit, the tool and the entire cooling process can be demonstrated live. As a result, the machine operator has access to information that would not be possible with mere physical measurement technology.
The Vipra system was awarded the OWL Innovation Prize for Plastics Technology in 2019.
